Beet Smoothie

Beet smoothie

This beet smoothie is a great way to add vegetables and fruits into your diet while keeping the fiber content. The orange and lemon juice adds a nice tangy flavor to help balance the taste from the vegetables. Lately, I have been adding more vegetables into my smoothie drinks because it helps me eats more vegetables throughout the day.

Ingredients

  • 2 beets

  • 2 carrots

  • 1 cup of frozen fruit (I used mixed frozen berries and peaches)

  • 2 oranges

  • 2 lemons

  • 2 cups of leafy greens (I used spinach)

  • 1 apple

  • 1 tsp ginger

Directions

  1. Chop the beets, carrots, ginger, and apple and put them in a blender

  2. Squeeze the juice from the oranges and lemons and add it to the blender and blend the contents together. Note: you can add more lemon and orange juice if you want the mixture to have a more liquid consistency.

  3. Add the leafy greens and frozen fruit and blend the mixture again.
