Beet smoothie
This beet smoothie is a great way to add vegetables and fruits into your diet while keeping the fiber content. The orange and lemon juice adds a nice tangy flavor to help balance the taste from the vegetables. Lately, I have been adding more vegetables into my smoothie drinks because it helps me eats more vegetables throughout the day.
Ingredients
2 beets
2 carrots
1 cup of frozen fruit (I used mixed frozen berries and peaches)
2 oranges
2 lemons
2 cups of leafy greens (I used spinach)
1 apple
1 tsp ginger
Directions
Chop the beets, carrots, ginger, and apple and put them in a blender
Squeeze the juice from the oranges and lemons and add it to the blender and blend the contents together. Note: you can add more lemon and orange juice if you want the mixture to have a more liquid consistency.
Add the leafy greens and frozen fruit and blend the mixture again.
